CLIMATT- CLIL Masters Advanced Teacher Training was conducted by CLIL@India Project at Chitkara University, Punjab, from 22nd to 25th July 2019 with the aim of equipping in-service teacher participants of previous Open CLIL Intensive Courses with in-depth knowledge of CLIL approach and its adaptation to the Indian context. CLIL@India envisions the creation of a cadre of master teacher trainers of the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach in India to disseminate and extend the outreach of CLIL and project objectives contributing towards its sustainability.

    Dhanalaxmi B K

    A retired government school teacher and teacher trainer with over 30 years of experience, she now works as a consultant for schools across Udupi. She has attended the 5-day Open CLIL-Intensive Course for teachers held at Symbiosis International University, Pune, as well as at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, organized by CLIL@India project. She taught CLIL-lessons (for the experimental group) in Parkala BM School in the target language, Kannada in the Manipal CLIL intervention.

    He has been teaching for over ten years at BM English Medium School, Parkala, Karnataka. He teaches grades 1 to 7, varied subjects. He attended the 5-Day Open intensive CLIL Training Workshop at Manipal, December 2018.

    She is presently teaching in Crescent International School, Chandranagar, Kaup, Karnataka. She handles the teaching of English for grades 3 and 8. She has been teaching for 5 years, and has the 5-Day Open intensive CLIL Training Workshop at Manipal, December 2018.

    Sumana K

    She has been teaching for 20 years and is currently an assistant teacher in Government MHP School, Saralabettu, Manipal, Karnataka. She teaches Mathematics to 2nd grade students, English to students of 3rd and 5th grade and Social Science to 6th grade students. She attended the 5-Day Open intensive CLIL Training Workshop at Manipal, December 2018.

    Seema Mhaske

    Has been teaching for close to 20 years. She holds MA, H.S.C D.Ed and B.Ed degrees. She teaches class 1 to 4 students Engslish, Marathi, Math and Environmental Science at Modern Prathmik Vidyamandir School. She participated in the CLIL pilot studies as well as the 3rd CLIL Open Intensive workshop held at Pune.

    Rupali Prashant Mankoji

    Has been teaching at PPPS school, Pune for over 7 years. She teaches Environmental Science, Marathi and Maths to classes 1 to 4. She holds an MSc in Biology and a B.Ed. She participated in the CLIL pilot studies as well as the 3rd CLIL Open Intensive workshop held at Pune.

    Shital Pawar

    Has been teaching for more than 11 years. She teaches classes 1 to 4 students Environmental Science and Marathi at PPPS School, Pune. She holds an HSC D.Ed degree. She participated in the CLIL pilot studies as well as the 3rd CLIL Open Intensive workshop held at Pune.

    Dr. Sangeeta Pant

    Is the driving force of Teacher Education Program at Chitkara University. She is responsible for bringing 21st century learner focussed Teacher Education program to the region.

    Dr. Vaishali Jundre

    Completed her Ph.D. from the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) in 2017. Her research focuses on the phonological, lexical and grammatical problems of Arab learners.

    Is a seasoned educationist, whose continuous research in the field of education has empowered the aspiring teachers with practical & apt tools to work with, keeping in mind the generation next learners

    Having grown up in different parts of the country, Eeshani has a passion for engaging with varied cultures and languages, with the ability to adapt and understand.

    Andrea Nava

    Is a lecturer at the University of Milan, Italy, where he teaches English language and second language acquisition and teaching. He holds postgraduate qualifications from the universities of Edinburgh, Lancaster and Milan. His research interests and publications are in the areas of grammaticography (Grammar by the Book, 2008), history of language teaching and second language acquisition
